Hot-climate battery packs usually fail for a simple reason: the cell was qualified at room temperature, then asked to work for years inside a vehicle, machine, or outdoor enclosure where heat never really leaves. Capacity drops faster, internal resistance rises, and the pack starts aging before the vehicle platform is ready to retire.

The PC20F-T and PA46F-C are built for that failure mode. Instead of only listing room-temperature cycle life, this series is rated at 45°C: ≥2000 cycles for the 20Ah PC20F-T under 1C/3C testing, and ≥2500 cycles for the 46Ah PA46F-C under 1C/1C testing. What is the difference between PC20F-T and PA46F-C?

The PC20F-T is the 20Ah model, rated for -43°C to +55°C operation and 7C pulse discharge. The PA46F-C is the 46Ah model, rated for -30°C to +65°C operation and 4C pulse discharge. Both are LFP stacked pouch cells designed for high-temperature service.

Why is the cycle life listed at 45°C?

Because that is closer to how many vehicle and outdoor battery packs actually age. A room-temperature cycle-life number can look clean on paper, but it does not tell a hot-climate OEM much. These cells are positioned around thermal aging resistance, so the 45°C test condition is the useful number.

How much current can these cells support?

For PC20F-T, 3C continuous discharge equals about 60A, and 7C pulse discharge equals about 140A. For PA46F-C, 3C continuous discharge equals about 138A, and 4C pulse discharge equals about 184A. Final pack current still depends on tab welding, busbars, thermal design, and BMS settings.

Which model should I choose for hot regions?

Use PA46F-C when the pack needs higher capacity and operation up to +65°C. Use PC20F-T when the design needs a smaller cell, stronger pulse discharge, or a wider low-temperature range down to -43°C.
